International Film Festival

The new international film venue complex for Goa and India was completed in 8 months from award of design contract.Twenty-four hour a day documentation and design coordination with local architects, made possible by offset time shifts across the globe, helped to achieve the short programme for the opening of the complex.

The new building forms a plaza behind the existing General Medical College in Goa. Materials and guests flow into the new atrium foyer through a wall of glass, opening up as sliders in the facade to the plaza.

A large projection screen in the foyer is visible through the glass to everyone in the plaza. A large overhanging fine edged roof floats off a row of stiletto tapered columns at the plaza’s edge.
