Metro Restaurant Boulevard

After the successful opening of the 10 pin bowling tenancy on Level 3 of the Metro Centre, now known as ‘SkyWorld,’ Walker Group Architects were asked to look at a possible  middle to high class restaurant, cafe and bar offering on Level 2 to open onto Aotea Square to the south and Bledisloe Lane to the west.

The Aotea frontage is split into smaller frontages for independent retail cafe operators. Outdoor mobile enclosures have been provided on the public square under a new glazed canopy and the ten pin bowling deck, with outdoor spaces for each of the operators divided from each other by mobile raised planters.
